I had to act quickly, so I picked up the phone to call Inspector Edward Yates at Scotland Yard. Without my car, I would not make it to the face to face interview. As I spoke to Inspector Yates, I looked down at the sleeves of my blouse and noticed that there were blood smears on the forearms and on my hands. I dropped the phone to the floor as I let out a bellowing scream.

Feel the hot sand grains oozing between your toes as you walk. The sun is just setting on the horizon above the ocean and a shadow falls across the water giving it a romantic appeal. It’s a warm night in Hawaii and beads of sweat are trickling down your back. The water is enticing you just as the drum beats begin to sound, echoing across the water all the way to the moon and back to your feet. You begin to move them, slowly at first, then the fervor picks up and you are in full dance. It’s your first Hawaiian Luau and you are going to party tonight.

Last night I took a nostalgic trip back into the days of my youth where one memory stood out above all the others. My heart tugged with fondness as I thought about dear Mom. She loved the rodeo and she took us to the fair any time she could. Our family was simple country folks. Mom was more western than most, though she never traveled further than Ohio in those early years. The rodeo was born into my mother’s blood and I learned to love the show as much as Mom.

Little children are probably the closest thing to angels here on earth. When I think about occasions for which I would dress as an angel or dress a child as one, a special cause comes to mind. The search for a cure for childhood leukemia is very close to my heart. I would consider it an honor to dress many little angels to inspire donations to save lives. My fundraiser would be for finding a cure and alternative means of treatment for leukemia.

Many times in my daydreams I have longed to be a maiden in the time of King Arthur and have a dashing prince like Sir Lancelot rescue me. That time period is such a romantic and beautiful time. I understand that life was definitely harder than now because people didn’t have all the modern conveniences that we enjoy today. Still, the medieval period was a time for romance, chivalry, beauty, and style. Fashion was at an ultimate peak during the King Arthur era, in my opinion. Let us take a little journey into one maiden’s life and share a little time with her.

If you grew up in the sixties and seventies, then you probably remember the “hippie” era. Flower children with long hair wore patched bell bottoms; they wore bead necklaces; ran barefoot and put flowers in their hair. They lived together in communes as one loving family all sharing together and caring for one another. Hippies emerged under the idealistic movement seeking that peaceful utopia of the promised land in Zion. Many cultures, religions, tribes and peoples called for an end to war and they put on the flower power sharing peace and love, in hopes the rest of the world would catch on. Were you part of this peace and love evolution?
